DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY
Your privacy is important and Friends of Oakwell Hall and Country Park will take every care to protect the information you provide to us.
The information we collect is limited to:
- Addresses – including email
- Telephone numbers
- Type of membership and, if an active volunteer, the tasks undertaken
The information supplied by you will be used solely for the following purposes:
- Distribution of the Friends newsletter
- Renewal of membership
- To advise of events and activities
- To advise of website updates (via our mailing list)
Only the Membership Secretary and nominated members of the Friends Committee have access to the information which will be stored securely. Please also note:
- Our online mailing list is administered through mailchimp.com and your name and email address is stored on their servers. If the mailing list is the only contact you have with us and you unsubscribe, your data will be permanently and immediately deleted by mailchimp.
- Our contact form is powered by 123formbuilder.com and they process your submissions.
The information provided will not be shared with any other organisation, unless required by law.
You have the right to:
- be removed from the database
- see the information stored about you
- have the history deleted about you
- change details about you

You will receive an annual reminder regarding your membership and if no renewal is received a second reminder four months later. If membership is not renewed following the second reminder, the personal information we hold about you will be securely disposed of.
We will not specifically take any photograph of you without prior permission but request consent for group photographs taken at events and in which you may appear, to be used in Friends publications and Friends social media.
Cookies are small text files that help organise and store browsing information. They are not programmes, and cannot damage your computer or any files you have on it, nor can they transmit viruses.
The cookies we have on our site don't collect any personal information or anything which can identify you as an individual. They don't add you to a mailing list nor do they enable us to contact you after your visit.
